4th of July festivities

Last year on the 4th, we stumbled on the last 5 minutes of a great concert in the park. So this year we decided to go to the whole concert. So we trekked out to the Ballard Locks and listened to the Seattle Civic Band play awesome patriotic music.

The band, with the awesome audience. They had fabulous cornet soloists. And, of course, they ended with one of my all time favourites: John Philip Sousa's 'Stars and Stripes Forever'

Then later we went to see the fireworks...obviously. :)

They weren't super close to us, but they were still really pretty.
